Berkeley Electronic Press has just unveiled a new journal, Policy & Internet, they describe as “the first major peer-reviewed journal investigating the implications of the Internet and associated technologies for public policy.”

A couple highlights from the premier issue:

Early Adolescents’ Use of Social Networking Sites to Maintain Friendship and Explore Identity: Implications for Policy

The Case Against Mass E-mails: Perverse Incentives and Low Quality Public Participation in U.S. Federal Rulemaking

No public health or healthcare related work in the issue, but that’s a ripe area for exploration.
